Она смеялась, общалась жестами с друзьями, даже осмелилась подойти к одному из приглашенных архитекторов, чтобы показать ему свой эскиз. Его заинтересованный взгляд и кивок были для неё лучшей похвалой. В какой-то момент, когда Ронни стояла у бара, потягивая коктейль, к ней подошел парень. Он был высоким, с уверенной улыбкой и глазами, которые, казалось, оценивали её с ног до головы. Он что-то говорил, но Вероника не сразу поняла, что именно. Её внимательность была немного притуплена алкоголем, а его речь казалась слишком быстрой и нечёткой. — Ты такая красивая, – наконец, разобрала она.
